SCREWFIX in Anchorage Park, Portsmouth, transformed their store for Blue Day, with everyone wearing blue clothes and getting involved in a cake sale out the front of the store.

Branch manager Steve Whiteaway said: ‘It’s really nice to get involved with a local, community charity and be able to do something to help.

‘We are all Pompey supporters here so are wearing our shirts with pride.

‘Many of our customers knew Tom Prince and his family, so they are behind us all the way. We encourage them to put their change into collection buckets at till points.

‘We have raised more than last year, and one generous member of our team has even put in £100. ‘Screwfix are going to make this a blue weekend, raising money over the course of the next couple of days.’
