AN UNEXPLODED bomb was found by residents during excavation work.

The explosive – thought to be from the Second World War – was found at 6.15pm in Northend Lane, Droxford.

Bomb disposal experts removed the item after it was discovered on Saturday.

No evacuation was ordered during the incident but residents were told to stay in their homes during the incident.
