A SHED was destroyed by fire after a bonfire got out of control.

Firefighters were called to the scene, which had taken hold of a shed in Westlands Grove, Portchester, on Friday at 7.30pm.

The bonfire had also spread to the neighbouring property, damaging a plastic fascia.

Firefighters from Portchester attended the scene and used thermal cameras to make sure the fire had not spread any further.

A spokesman from the fire service advised people to keep bonfires away from buildings and garden furniture.
