A BROKEN-DOWN van caused long delays on the A27 around Emsworth.

Motorists reported tailbacks as far as the Fishbourne roundabout on the westbound carriageway of the A27, after the van lost a wheel near the service station at Emsworth.

Two police cars were on site closing one lane as well as a recovery van to clear the road at around 3pm yesterday.

Tail backs caused congestion while the site was cleared, with a small accident occurring during the traffic.
