Burglar strikes at three homes

Winchester jail put in special measures

THREE properties in Portchester were broken into earlier this week.

Police are appealing for information following three burglaries in The Leaway, The Crossways and Kelvin Grove on Tuesday, January 4.

Between 6.45am and 3.15pm entry was gained to all three properties by forcing the rear doors.

Some of the items taken from the properties include a PlayStation 2, an Apple MacBook, a TomTom sat nav, and items of gold jewellery including a bracelet with a 'Nan' pendant attached.

Police have described a suspect in the investigation as a white man, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall, in his late teens to early 20s, of a slim or medium build, with short dark brown hair and a long face.

Police investigator Jane Dye said: 'We are appealing to any potential witnesses who were in The Crossways or Kelvin Grove area during the times stated.'
