A HOTEL is to be given a £120,000 makeover as a part of the chain’s modernisation programme.

Havant Rowlands Castle Travelodge is celebrating the revamp that will transform the 21-room hotel, giving it a new contemporary, fresh look and feel which will be completed in Autumn 2015.

Tiago Batista, Havant Rowlands Castle Travelodge hotel manager said: ‘In 2014, at Havant Rowlands Castle Travelodge we enjoyed double digit growth due to the rise in business and leisure customers switching to us. Our new modernised hotel will ensure that we continue to grow sales and become the favourite hotel for value in the area.’

The hotel, which is located on Whichers Gate Road, will be given an upgrade to the new luxury king size bed called the Travelodge Dreamer which is used predominately by luxury hotels worldwide.

In addition truckle beds have been installed into family rooms offering children their own individual space to sleep.

As part of the refurbishment programme the hotel’s reception area will also be updated.

To further grow its business, Travelodge, the fastest growing major UK hotel brand in 2014, is capitalising on its strong performance and is opening 15 new hotels in 2015, across the UK, with an investment value of almost £100m.

Ms Batista said: ‘We’re investing more than £100m on modernising our hotels for our customers and it is great news that Havant Rowlands Castle Travelodge is to benefit.’

The new hotels include four London locations, cementing Travelodge’s position as the capital’s biggest hotel brand. Other locations include a new central Glasgow property and key regional locations including the Thames Valley tech corridor, Southampton and Bristol.
