CHANCELLOR George Osborne has backed the redevelopment of a future major business park as he pledged to put more money into the region’s economy.
Havant MP Alan Mak sought to get a commitment from Mr Osborne during Prime Minister’s Questions that he sees Dunsbury Hill Farm as a priority.
The site, off the A3(M) in Havant, is expected to create up to 3,500 new local jobs.
The land is being redeveloped by Portsmouth City Council with assistance from the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership.
Mr Osborne said: ‘I’m delighted to hear about the regeneration of Dunsbury Hill Farm, and it’s part of the good news that is happening to his area where the claimant count is down by 25 per cent in the last year alone.’
