Chief executive up for awardÂ

A BUSINESSWOMAN who helped secure the long-term financial position of a trust that acts as a charitable social landlord has been nominated for an award.Â

Anne Taylor, theÂ chief executive of Thorngate Churcher Trust in Gosport, is one of three on the shortlist of the Making a Difference Award in the Markel 3rdÂ Sector Care Awards.Â

Anne was short-listed for her work at Thorngate where she oversees an organisation with a turnover in excess of Â£2m, with 80 employees, more than 120 warden-supported sheltered flats and a 44-bed care home.

Anne said: '˜I'm delighted to have been nominated forÂ this prestigious award.Â The trust celebrates its 150thÂ anniversary this year so to feature on the short-list in such a milestone year is an added bonus.'Â

Anne joined Thorngate Churcher Trust in 2011.Â
