ARE you interested in running a pub in Southsea?

Two managers of a Fullers pub are urging members of the public to get in touch.

Landlords Cliff and Louise Charter have run The Golden Eagle on Delamere Road for 8 years.

The husband and wife team are soon to retire.

Louise said that she would rather not see the pub locked up and given back to Fullers as she fears it could be turned into a shop of block of flats.

Louise said: ‘It really is a fantastic opportunity. If anybody is interested just call or pop in to have a chat with us or Fullers.’

On Facebook, the couple said: ‘Still no (serious) takers.

‘If anyone is interested in running the best free live music venue in Southsea, please come in and have a word with us.

‘If there are no replacements when it’s time for us to go we’ll move out, lock the doors and give Fullers the keys back. Then it might be a Spar shop or a block of flats.

‘Up to you people!’
