NETWORKING was the name of the game at a breakfast held at Fratton Park.
Businesses from across Hampshire went to the penultimate Network Pompey Business Club earlier this month.
Guest speaker Deborah Phillips told how she became the 198th woman to swim across the English Channel last year – even battling through a diagnosis of pneumonia in the run up to the swim.
And Deborah stunned attendees when she revealed how when she was aged 13 her father had tragically died in a drowning freak accident.
That had left her reluctant to go near open water. But inspired by the 2012 Olympics she was determined to overcome her demons.
The final networking event runs on December 13 12.30pm-2.30pm. Book at networkpompey.co.uk
