A FORMER restaurant in Southsea has been sold to two Portsmouth businessmen

The sale of the former Kitsch n d’Or, in Eldon Street, was handled by business property adviser, Christie & Co.

The three-storey terraced property, valued at £550,000 has a bar, two restaurant areas and a function room and five bedrooms. It has been closed for more than a year and has now been taken over by Matthew Wylie and Mike Baker. Richard Wood, business agent in Christie & Co’s Winchester office, who handled the sale, said Mr Wylie and Mr Baker have a wealth of experience in refurbishing closed premises in Portsmouth and reopening them for a range of uses.’

He said: ‘We received a number of bids for this property showing the demand that we’re seeing for these kind of sites in the Portsmouth and Southsea area.’
