Here's who is nominated for this Year's Southern Hair and Beauty awards Â

Hundreds of entries have been submitted from across the south, all vying to win one of the coveted awards in the contest which is run by Johnston Press, the publisher of The News.

The winners of 12 categories will be announced at a glamorous ceremony, presented by beauty expert Gina Akers, at Fontwell Racecourse on Saturday, November 17.

The night has been sponsored by Oscar's Hair & Beauty Hairdressing and Hair Loss Solutions, in Eastbourne, owned by Oscarine Bennah.

She said: '˜It is so great to be able to support all these artists, particularly the young people who are just starting out in the industry.

'˜Every one who makes the short-list has worked so hard and it is great to be able to celebrate what they have achieved. I am very much looking forward to the night.'
