A Southsea pub has been named one of the leading locals in Britain.
The Hole in the Wall in Great Southsea Street was selected for the Portsmouth and south east Hampshire area in a list of more than 200 top community pubs published by the Campaign for Real Ale.
The award for southern Hampshire went to The Flower Pots Inn at Cheriton and the Inglenook Hotel at Nyetimber was selected for the western side of Sussex. CAMRA announced its list to help launch April’s Community Pubs Month.
CAMRA volunteers across the UK judge the pubs, with winners going forward to regional heats in their quest to become National Pub of the Year.
