From humble beginnings growing up in Leigh Park to the boardroom of local property giant Fasset, which operates Langstone Technology Park, Gary Medlow is one of Havant’s success stories.
Now the business leader is looking to give back to the community as the major corporate sponsor and partner for the first Havant jobs and apprenticeships fair organised by MP Alan Mak at Warblington School on February 19.
Mr Medlow said his modest origins give him a vested interest in Havant’s future prosperity. He has worked at Langstone Technology Park since leaving school in 1977.
He said: ‘I am immensely proud of everything we have achieved at Fasset. As a local employer we are committed not only to our customers but to the community as well.
‘We want to do everything possible to make Havant a prosperous place to invest in and a great place to live. Hard work, determination and ambition have helped me develop my career.’
Mr Mak, the Havant Tory MP, said: ‘Gary is an inspirational asset for Havant. Fasset has grown under his leadership because he believes in doing good not just doing well. His journey from modest beginnings to the top of his profession is a great example to anyone who wants to succeed through hard work.’
