The event, held earlier this month, was helping raise awareness of a crowdfunding campaign for the Staggeringly Good Brewery.

Joe Ross, 39, and his business partners Jon Chapman and Ross Cox, set up the brewery following a stag do on the Isle of Wight. The dinosaur motif was inspired by the Jurassic Coast, and fans love the quirky theme.

The dinorider was unleashed onto the city's streets as part of the making of a video for the crowdfunder, which hopes to secure investors to raise money to upscale their brewery in Rodney Road to a larger facility.

Joe said: '˜We have lots of loyal followers that love our beer, so we put the feelers out in some emails and got hundreds of responses.

'˜We wanted it to be fun and we don't take anything too seriously, so we bought a mobility scooter on ebay and turned it into a dinosaur that we could drive.

'˜We took it to different landmarks across the city and venues that we dispense beer to.

'˜So many people turned up, we got some great footage, some drone shots too, it was a really awesome day.'

As well as the massive crowd of followers, there were confetti canons, free beer and pizza, and a brass band playing a ska version of the Jurassic park theme.

The video is now up on their website, and the crowdfunder has gone live '“ go to staggeringlygood.com/invest for more.

Joe said: '˜When we first started out around 2015 we were using other people's equipment to make our beers, and we were labelling each bottle by hand. It's crazy how quickly the business has grown and we're excited to grow even more.

'˜It's clear that our ability to supply from our 11,000 litres of brewing capacity has maxed out. It's time to expand and we need your help to do it. If you'd be willing to invest in us we'll give you the blood, sweat and whatever DNA it takes to grow this brewery to its full potential.'

On Saturday, December 1, Joe and his partners plan to open the new facility, the House of Rapture, mixing together a church and dinosaur theme. There will be live music, as well as a bar with food.  Â
