THE demand from people seeking to challenge care they have received from social services is on the rise.
Experts at Verisona Law, in Cosham, have created a service for clients with cases for local authorities to answer.
Charles Derham from the firm, said: ‘When revelations of child abuse in schools, care homes and by public figures were getting attention in the media, we knew that more people would find the courage and strength to come forward with their own experiences.
‘However, it has been very much a snowball effect with more and more cases coming to light, and no signs of it slowing down in the near future.’
The new service from the firm is aimed at meeting with those who believe they have been treated badly by social services and members of the team have had specialist training in listening and working with individuals to help find answers.
