IT was a momentous occasion for Lucketts Travel Group as the company bagged the large business of the year accolade.
Great results, rapidly rising turnover, growing staff and a commitment to training were all picked out by the judges as reasons for the Fareham-based firm getting the nod. But they were also impressed by the fact it has not lost sight of its ‘family ethos.’
Ian Luckett, of Lucketts Travel, which is celebrating its 90th year in business next year, said: ‘The award was a surprise.
‘There was a lot of good people here and a lot of great companies.
‘There was a fantastic presentation around the America’s Cup and to think we are involved with a city that is connected to that is pretty humbling.’
He added: ‘It’s a family business and it’s important to us we keep that family approach.’
