Marketing firm marks significant milestones

MindWorks Marketing, in Emsworth, turned 20 this month '“ and it also celebrated its first birthday as an Employee Owned Business. Both these milestones were marked with a party. 

MindWorks was founded in 1998 by Emsworth resident and former head of marketing for the University of Portsmouth, John Harris-Burland, with just two staff.

Twenty years later, 35 staff in offices opposite the harbour at Emsworth proudly share ownership of the company. The company delivers a range of marketing, design and events services for global brands such as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Suzuki, Ford and Wiggle. 

John is now chairman and group accountant director of the company and his successor as managing director is Michelle Leggatt, who has been with the company for 18 years. 

Michelle said: '˜We've come so far and achieved so much during the past 20 years. As well as expanding in size and number of services, our turnover has increased year on year. We are very proud. Here's to the next successful 20 years.'
