TOUR operator Focus Travel is shaking-up the traditional format of business networking by creating a cruise with a twist.
The Portsmouth-based operator is holding a three-day long cruise, dedicated to business. It has been working with Chamber of Commerce, B2B Expos and Focus Business Travel, to suit the needs of businesses.
There will be an action-packed itinerary which includes networking, 1-2-1 sessions as well as free time and educational keynote speakers slots.
Tony Childs, director of Focus Travel, said: ‘This cruise really does have something for everyone and will provide the perfect platform to start great business conversations and build relationships.
‘The usual high standards of fine dining will also be part of the package along with evening entertainment.
‘It’s open to individuals, organisations and groups to get on-board and really embrace a different approach to networking in the relaxed and fun atmosphere of a luxury four-star P&O cruise ship Ventura.’
More than 200 businesses will be taking part. Guest speakers include Lee McQueen, best known as the 2008 winner of TV show The Apprentice.
Lee went on to set up a digital media business with Lord Sugar’s son Simon and he later founded the recruitment company Raw Talent Academy. Other speakers include; Stefan Thomas author of Networking for Dummies, business personality of the year Ian Dickson, LinkedIn profile specialist Naomi Johnson, network marketer Michelle Turner Davidson and author of the Sticking Point Steve Thomson.
Mr Childs, from Copnor, said: ‘There will be a maximum of 200 delegates from all different backgrounds and business industry sectors to really mix up the opportunities.
‘We have chosen December for the trip as the year is coming to a close and people are already planning ahead to 2017 and looking for new opportunities and new innovative ideas.’
The cruise will depart from Southampton on Saturday, December 3, travelling to Bruges before returning on December 5. For more go to focustravel.co.uk/networking-cruise
