APPRENTICES are set to be taken on at the Office for National Statistics.
The opportunities at the ONS’ Titchfield offices come a year after the organisation offered the same scheme in Newport, south Wales.
The data analytics apprenticeship scheme is opened at the office for the first time.
‘We’ve been seeing a lot of interest in these apprenticeships,’ said Alison Adams from the ONS.
‘Applications are coming not just from those looking for an alternative to university, but people making career changes, excited by the opportunities these skills open up to them.
‘Here at ONS, apprentices get the chance to be at the cutting edge of using data to generate new insights into society, helping to inform decisions that affect us all.’
Apply via the Civil Service Jobs website by November 9. Starting salaries range from £21,000 to 27,000.
