YOUNGSTERS dreaming of what career they might like to pursue can be inspired at an Opportunities Fair, which is on tomorrow at Portsmouth Guildhall.

The fair is aimed at children 10 to 13 and will feature activities and competitions designed to demonstrate what is on offer at the region’s cutting-edge companies.

Portsmouth City Council leader Councillor Donna Jones said: ‘The fair is all about inspiring children and encouraging them to set their goals high.

‘This is a city where local people can work for world-famous employers using the latest technology.

‘Or they can join in the superb work being done in the local arts, entertainment and leisure industries.’

More than 40 employers attend the fair including the Royal Navy, Airbus, BAE Systems, BAM Construction, Bouygues, Cisco Systems, IBM, Novatech, Pfizer and Qinetiq.

The fair will run from 10am to 3pm.
