A LIST of 32 sites across Hampshire deemed perfect for business growth has been drawn up

The list includes Trafalgar Wharf in Portchester, Tipner Wharf and Horsea Island in the north of Portsmouth and the site of the planned suburb, Welborne, north of Fareham.

The list also includes a site in Segensworth north-west, Fulcrum 6 at Solent Business Park in Whiteley and the Solent Enterprise Zone at Daedalus in Gosport.

Hampshire County Council has collaborated with national commercial marketing agency Lambert Smith Hampton to develop the list, which it calls the ‘Key Development Sites Portfolio’.

The portfolio is designed to showcase the major development and investment opportunities across the county.

Councillor Seán Woodward, executive member for economy, transport and environment, said: ‘This vital resource provides a comprehensive overview of a diverse range of development opportunities across Hampshire to attract investment and businesses which will, in turn, create jobs.’

The sites were identified on the basis of being employment led and have a threshold of around 15,000 square metres of potential floor space. Sites in both public and private sector ownership have been included.

Andrew Hodgkinson, director of Lambert Smith Hampton, said he was delighted to be involved in drawing up the list of sites.

Mr Hodgkinson said the portfolio highlighted the range of commercial opportunities available in the region.

He said: ‘There is a wealth of activity afoot along the south coast. We are seeing increased private sector interest thanks to the investment opportunities the region offers, paired with all-important engaged, ambitious and investor-friendly public sector partners. As such, we were delighted to support the creation of the Key Development Sites Portfolio.’
