Recruitment group snaps up construction job specialist as part of its expansion planÂ

CONSTRUCTION recruitment firm CPN Construction Services has been acquired by Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) for an undisclosed fee.

New owner BRG '“ a multi-disciplinary recruiter '“ operates from nearly 40 locations across the country, including Gosport and Southampton. 

CPN Construction Services has been trading for 16 years, providing workers in the construction industry across the country.

There is a team of nine at the offices in Milbrook, Southampton and the acquisition will add approximately £6m to BRG's turnover.

The business also runs a thriving training centre. 

CPN Construction Services will be re-branded as Berry Recruitment and the group will invest in the business.

Managing director of Berry Recruitment Lee Gamble said: '˜CPN Construction Services has a fine reputation and a talented team that's been led by Andy Price, who we're pleased is staying on.

'˜We will re-brand the business and the training centre and invest in order to drive expansion. Construction is a growth area and one that fits in with our existing sectors.

'˜The business recruits temporary and permanent workers in the white and blue collar areas; from all the trades through to site managers, architects and surveyors.

'˜The team will receive support from our Berry Recruitment branches in Southampton and Gosport and Wild Recruitment branches in Portsmouth and Poole.

'˜Our target is to grow our business to £100m turnover and this acquisition will help us on our way. The acquisition is our seventh in the last five years and complements our organic growth.'
