BIG performances will not only be taking place at sea next Friday as Portsmouth welcomes the Red Arrows.
The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team are putting on a show at 12.10pm on Friday, July 24, as part of the America’s Cup racing.
The Red Arrows will wow the crowds with a display, last performed in Portsmouth to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day last year.
Once they have finished their performance, the six sailing teams will leave the Royal Navy base and will be escorted to the course area in front of the race village on Southsea Common.
Hundreds of thousands of spectators are expected to visit Southsea where a range of entertainment being put on.
As well as the Red Arrows, the second day of the event will welcome the second South Coast Proms concert.
Starting at 7.15pm, it will feature the Royal Marines Band as will the Thursday night performance at 8pm.
Thousands of tickets are still available for the America’s Cup after more free tickets were released.
More than 10,000 have already been sold.
Separate paid-for tickets are available for the Portsmouth Live! concert on the Saturday.
Spandau Ballet, Carly Rae Jepsen, McBusted and Wet Wet Wet are performing.
