PLANS for a £5m gateway to a popular outdoor museum were approved.

The development at the Weald and Downland Museum, near Chichester, will include two clusters of buildings around a courtyard.

One side will be a ticket office and gift shop and the other side will be an 80-seater cafe and a new education centre.

The car park will get 75 more spaces.

The plans were agreed by the South Downs National Park Authority planning committee and it is hoped the changes will boost visitor numbers.
