A NEW survey has revealed Britain’s favourite small business name.

Simply Business, a provider of small business insurance, conducted the survey which named Portsmouth-based locksmith Surelock Homes as the nation’s ‘Punniest Business’.

The firm received almost a quarter of all votes.

Paul Tribouillard, owner of Surelock Homes, said:

‘It is fantastic to be recognised nationwide for our business name, which we chose carefully in order to reflect the personality of our brand.

‘We were thrilled to be chosen as one of the two businesses featured in the new Simply Business ad campaign, which puts customers right at the heart of the Simply Business brand.’

Shortlisted businesses included Spex in the City, a opticians based in London, Alan Cartridge, a Leeds-based printer firm, Samuel ‘L’ Jackson, a Southport-based driving instructor, Frying Nemo, a Yorkshire based fish and chip shop. Back to the Fuschia, a florist based in Milton Keynes and Pane in the Glass, a Middlesex-based double-glazing shop.
