A DECISION is to be made this month over plans to set up a stunning Ferris wheel attraction along Southsea seafront.

The News revealed in November that Clarence Pier had splashed out £750,000 on a 110ft-high structure dubbed the Solent Eye, which it hopes to have in place by Easter.

Pier co-owner Jill Norman says the plans are going before the council’s planning committee this month – and hopes approval will be given.

Mrs Norman has previously said the wheel could go elsewhere if planning permission isn’t granted.
