STUDENT Abigail Burden has spoken of her pride at having her design used in a new housing development.

Emsworth resident and Southampton Solent University graduate Abigail’s wallpaper design has been used in the show home at Linden Homes’ development Morgan’s Field in Broughton.

The 22-year-old was recently awarded first prize for her exotic print designs in Linden Homes’ interior design competition, in association with Show Business Interiors and Southampton Solent University.

Abigail, who is now studying a masters in textile design at Winchester School of Art, said: ‘I’ve been so excited to see my first real project come to life. The wallpaper looks lovely in the room – it all feels very surreal and I’d like to extend my thanks to the Linden Homes team for giving me this opportunity.’

Jo Dixon, marketing manager at Linden Homes, said: ‘Abigail did an amazing job. She created an excellent design that inspired the rest of the interiors for the show home. She has real talent.’
