A LAW firm has been praised for its service to UK football clubs.
Verisona Law, which has offices in Portsmouth, scooped the bronze award for Best Professional Service Business Serving Football at the sixth annual Football Business Awards.
The event recognises the work of companies dedicated to supporting the game and clubs.
The team made the trip to London for the ceremony, which was held at Tobacco Dock in London.
Chairman and head of business at Verisona Law Michael Dyer said: ‘To have been given an award for our work and be in the company of national accountants Smith & Williamson and international firm, Pinsent Masons is quite overwhelming.
‘This award represents teamwork. Internally here at Verisona Law, and with the clubs where we work with officials and other companies for the good of those we represent.
‘We have in some instances rewritten rules, made history and are proud to be involved in the administration of clubs and the evolution of football.
‘The most important thing for the game is that it adapts and moves forward and I know I speak for the whole team at Verisona Law when I say how proud we are to be part of it.’
