Innovation is the future and it certainly helped Gosport IT solutions company to be recognised for its approach to customer problems.
Silver Linings Convergence was formed seven years by managing director Allan Packer and finance director Craig Burton.
Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength expanding the business over the years.
Mr Packer said: ‘Winning this award means a great deal to us. Not just to the executives but for the people who work for us, it gives us all recognition and makes all the hard work worthwhile.’
The firm aims to create solutions ahead of competitors to fulfil customers’ needs.
‘We aren’t one of those companies that will just provide a green box solution to all our customers. We try to tailor our services rather than just running something that doesn’t suit the customer.’
In 2012 the firm developed a security appliance that allows customers to not have to read out their card details over the phone.
‘It stops the usual process of reading out the details and could have the potential for fraud from someone tapping into their system or by the call taker,’ said Mr Packer.
‘Instead a machine takes these details when being typed into the phone.’
The company has also developed its own cloud-based system for customers who are unable to use the standard packages provided by internet providers.
‘Some of our customers such as the NHS and MoD need a solution that is more secure and fits their requirements which is what we provide to them.’
In the next few months the business is hoping to expand its customer portfolio.
It will also be moving to a new base in Solent Business Park in Whiteley.
