THE skin care market is booming throughout the world and one Havant-based business has shone brighter than the rest.

Treat Your Skin was established in 2006 by Chris Hobbs who was looking to earn some more money whilst he had a young family.

He approached his mum about which area he should go into and she suggested skin care. Since then the company has moved from an eBay site to have its own website and working with secondary sites including Amazon.

New business development manager Chris Rice said: ‘The business would have been nothing without Chris he has the drive to make the company massive.’

The key to the success of the company is that they are one step of the competition.

‘We have visited a trade show in South Korea as they are ahead of the market over here so we hope to bring some of those products to our website,’ said Chris.

The firm also believes that technology has allowed it to have lower prices than other businesses offering skin care products.

‘At the very beginning we had a software system that allowed us to change our prices whenever our competitors changed theirs which was brilliant for our customers,’ said Mr Rice.

But the biggest factor to the company’s success is that of the staff.

‘All the staff are determined to make the business succeed.

‘Winning the award is amazing, it is such a great deal for company only started nine years ago to be given a recognition,’ said Mr Rice.

The company will be expanding later this year to Tesco online in the hope that the platform can bring them further revenue from new clientele.
