Southsea Marina has been awarded the highest accolade possible for its top-level facilities.
The marina and its facilities have been given the prestigious Five Gold Anchors.
The award, made by The Yacht Harbour Association, is the highest level attainable and is indicative of the top level of customer service and quality and range of facilities provided at Southsea Marina.
The Gold Anchor Award Scheme is a voluntary assessment programme which offers a trustworthy measure of excellence for boat owners when looking for a visiting or annual berth.
Marina manager Rupert Bremer said: ‘We are delighted with the results of the new and modernised toilet and shower facilities. After many months of planning it is great to see the project completed.
‘I am very pleased that our berth holders are able to make use of the new facilities over the summer period and to have been recognised for our high standards and commitment to customer service is extremely flattering.’
The internationally recognised ratings can vary from one to five gold anchors and involve an independent assessment, a mystery shoppers’ visit and berth holders’ online questionnaire.
Operator Premier Marinas has invested £280,000 to create luxury, spa-quality shoreside facilities for berth holders and visitors.
Premier Marinas also owns and operates marinas in Swanwick, Gosport and Port Solent.
