HEADLINE act Union J have pulled out of Gosfest just 24 hours after James Arthur and Scouting for Girls also confirmed they were no longer playing.
The band’s management team Crown Talent Management told The News that the former X-Factor group will no longer play at the festival in August.
Union J were the last original headline act advertised for Gosfest with organisers Eventures Int Ltd now looking for replacements.
Director Chloe Palmer refused to comment on Union J pulling out.
But she said in a statement yesterday: ‘We signed and contracted several bands back in February.
‘Unfortunately due to the delay in securing a new venue and third parties making unsolicited contact with one of our agencies providing misinformation, concerns were raised about the event with the agency and they were not able to allow us any more time to meet our further contractual obligations.
‘Therefore the original contracts have now lapsed.
‘However, we are in the process of arranging new contracts which should mean the artists may perform at a different time or day than originally advertised. We are also looking at additional and/or alternative headliners to ensure GosFest fans are not disappointed.’
