FOR many pubs and restaurants across The News' patch the festive season is now in full swing.
Decorations are starting to go up at venues across the city, but in addition to this treat for the eyes landlords and pub chains are unveiling their seasonal menus.
In Guildhall Walk, Brewhouse and Kitchen’s festive offering is now available until December 24.
Its menu gives diners a choice of four starters, mains and desserts – as well as a whole baked Camembert to share between at least four people, at £3 per person.
Seven of its 12 dishes are either gluten-free or suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Diners can enjoy three courses before 5pm for £20.95pp or after 5pm for £23.95pp.
In Old Portsmouth, the Spice Island Inn – a Greene King pub – is running its festive menu until New Year’s Day, but that does not include Christmas Day.
Two courses there can be picked up for £23.95pp, or three will cost £26.95pp.
The drinking hole is offering five starters, mains and desserts and 10 of its dishes are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
The Old Customs House at Gunwharf Quays, a Fuller’s pub, is also among the scores of venues now serving their Christmas menu.
There, foodies can get two courses for £23.95pp or three for £27.95pp – with five starters, mains and desserts to choose from.
Mains are served with duck fat roast potatoes and a selection of seasonal vegetables for the table and two starters on offer – and one main – are veggie-friendly.
