BEES were the main focus during a recent fundraising campaign.

The Gosport and Fareham Friends of the Earth sold plants and gardening magazines to raise funds and promote the Bee Cause Campaign.

The campaign aims to plant bee-friendly wildflowers all over the country to help increase the rapidly vanishing bee population.

Around 100 plants were gathered for sale at a gardeners’ fair held last month in West Street, Fareham.

Despite heavy rain, Friends of the Earth raised £30 in sales and donations.
