A CAKE donated by a senior navy officer was a delicious treat for Gosport Sea Cadets.

The cake was made for a retirement dinner for Commodore Richard Farrington, from Gosport, who has left the navy after 34 years.

Cdre Farrington decided to pass the cake onto the cadets.

Leading Cadet Ben Barry said the team at TS Hornet enjoyed the sweet treat.

Ben said: ‘The cake was delicious and much appreciated by the cadets.

‘Thanks to Cdre Farrington for his kind thought in donating it to the cadets.’
