A CHARITY shop is calling out for volunteers so that it can continue to look after cats.
Care4cats, in Highland Road, Southsea, desperately needs more helpers in the store so that it can stay open.
Having opened in April, it raises money for the charity that cares for stray cats in Ibiza. The charity has neutered 9,000 stray cats on the island since it was formed 11 years ago.
Angela Collins, chairwoman and founder of Care4cats, said: ‘There are hundreds of cats hanging around hotels in Ibiza and holidaymakers get quite attached to them.
‘Then they come back to England and get really worried about them.
‘We pay for vets over there to look after these cats and neuter them.’
To volunteer go to the store and ask for Angela.
