Campaign meeting to make Portsmouth streets safer

PEOPLE are being invited to offer suggestions on how to make their streets safer.

Campaign group Portsmouth Friends of the Earth is holding a Streets for People talk led by Megan Streb, from Sustrans.

The event will show how other communities are creating neighbourhoods safe for walking, cycling, playing, chatting and sitting.

Ideas discussed at the meeting on how to improve city areas will be passed on to Portsmouth City Council by Friends of the Earth.

The event is on October 15 at 7.30pm at the Discovery Centre, St John's Cathedral, Bishop Crispian Way, in Portsmouth.
