ANIMAL-TESTING campaigners are due to hold a protest outside a laboratory.

Stop Wickham Animal Testing are due to meet next month for its annual protest outside Wickham Laboratories, in Barwell Lane, Gosport.

It comes as Norman Baker MP – the minister in charge of regulating animal experiments – said he wants to see all such work end. Helen Nelson, 90, of Gosport, is from the anti-vivisectionist group and has welcomed the comments.

She said: ‘It’s such a waste of animals, and very little progress has been made in using alternative methods.’

Meet at Christ Church hall, Stoke Road, Gosport, at midday on September 13.
