DOZENS of keen litter pickers gave up their Sunday morning to take part in a beach clean.
The event saw more than 30 people volunteer to tidy up Cams Bay, in Fareham, as part of an of a national campaign called Beachwatch organised by the Marine Conservation Society.
Organiser Louise Thomas, from Fareham, said: ‘We had a good turn out of people who cleaned and documented rubbish found on the 100m stretch of beach.
‘The turnout was so good that we were also able to clean a large part of the beach either side of this and collected around 10 large bags of rubbish, including car tyres, bottles, syringes and much more.’
Mrs Thomas said she would be organising another beach clean soon.
