Hampshire Macmillan Citizens Advice Service has been shortlisted for the ‘Team Excellence’ award at this year’s Macmillan Excellence Awards.

The team has been put forward by Macmillan Cancer Support, which works in partnership with advice services across the country.

In the past six months, the service has supported more than 1,000 people and has helped cancer patients overcome problems with employment and housing.

Fran Williams, Macmillan development manager, who nominated the team for the award said: ‘This service continues to exceed our expectations and provides an excellent service for people affected by cancer locally.’

Sue Alford, Macmillan citizens advice service manager, said: ‘We are very pleased to have been nominated for this award.’
