FIREFIGHTERS have launched an investigation into the cause of a car fire in Leigh Park.

Havant fire crews were called after a vehicle parked at the junction of Soberton Road and Alresford Road caught fire at 10.53pm on Monday.

Crews stayed at the scene for half an hour and used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.

Mark Jones, of Havant fire station, said: ‘We have launched an investigation with the police into the cause of the fire.

‘There’s no reason to suggest it started by itself.’
