Carers benefit from Portsmouth casino staff's generosity

EMPLOYEES at a casino have helped raise £1m for a charity that supports carers.

Staff at Grosvenor Casino in Gunwharf Quays organised fundraising events, including sky dives, and gave their time as volunteers at the Carers Trust Network Partners.

Tracey Collins, general manager at Grosvenor Casino Portsmouth, said: ‘It’s a sobering thought to think that three out of five of us will become carers at some point in our lives.

‘I’d like to say a massive thanks to our team members and kind-hearted customers who have helped raise such a fantastic amount.’

The £1m was raised by Rank Leisure nationally.
