CASCADES Shopping Centre in Portsmouth has been awarded for its efforts to ‘go green’ by The Green Apple Environment Awards.

The team have managed to save over 2.5 million litres of water, enough to fill a Olympic-size swimming pool, and the centre’s new recycling scheme has seen it increase the amount of waste recycled by 25 per cent.

Centre manager Andy Philip said he was ‘delighted’.
