AN ANNUAL darts marathon is taking part in a casino for charity.

Grosvenor Casino, in Osborne Road, Southsea, is holding the fifth annual charity darts marathon in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The casino is inviting guests to attend between 10am and 10pm where anyone can come and take part in the 12-hour event.

Local businesses have donated a number of prizes for a raffle on the day.

Paul Brady, general manager of the casino said: ‘We are really excited about our upcoming charity 12-hour darts marathon.

‘It is giving the people of Portsmouth an opportunity to have a great day playing darts.

‘The event will be a lot of fun.

‘But it also has a very important cause at its heart, raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.’

All proceeds will be donated to the charity, which cares for terminally-ill people in their own homes and at Marie Curie hospices across the country.
