ORGANISERS have promised that this year’s Summer Fair will be the best ever.
The event, held in Victoria Park, Portsmouth, will host two stages with live music throughout the day from local talent.
Street performances from entertainers will take place alongside poets, dancers, a get fit session and a therapy area.
There will also be around 100 stalls with an abundance of items on offer, including arts and crafts, eco-gifts, plants, fashion and wildlife conservation.
Demonstrations from some of the stalls will take place, such as bushcraft skills and how to build a cob oven.
And there’s plenty for children, from rides and games, to workshops in circus skills, solar challenges, and storytellers.
Sue James, one of the organisers, said: ‘This is the fifth fair we’ve organised and we hope it will be bigger and better than ever.
‘We’re still welcoming stall-holders who are offering green-themed crafts, energy saving ideas, local and organic food.’
The fair takes place on June 25 from 11am to 4pm.
