A TOWN'S mayor visited a church to celebrate 20 years of community payback.

The Mayor of Havant, Councillor Peter Wade, visited St Clare's Church in Warren Park to talk to Community Payback officers and those in the scheme about how their work benefits the borough.

Community Payback enables people on probation to work in the community and is the result of a partnership between Havant Borough Council and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Rehabilitation Company.
