TWO free concerts for Help for Heroes will form part of a chamber music extravaganza.

The West Meon Chamber Music Festival runs from September 14 to 16 and tickets are already in demand.

On September 15 at midday the string players of the Primrose Piano Quartet will be at The West Meon pub providing a mixture of solos, duos and trios to appeal to the younger members of the family.

That evening, at 10pm, in The Thomas Lord pub, the quartet and friends will provide a late-night jazz concert.

Although both concerts are free to attend, there will be collections for Help for Heroes.

Primrose violinist Susanne Stanzeleit said: ‘Although it is essentially a chamber music festival, like all classical musicians we firmly believe in encouraging as many people as possible to enjoy our music making.’
