SERIOUSLY-ill children will be sent to Lourdes with the help of a champion fundraiser.

Julie Scarborough will be opening up her Widley home on Saturday for a huge jumble sale.

She is raising money for The Rowans Hospice’s Dorothy’s Dream appeal.

Mrs Scarborough is also supporting an organisation which sends unwell children on a religious retreat to Lourdes, in France.

There will be new and nearly new items for sale, as well as clothes, handbags, shoes, bric-a-brac and books for all

Mrs Scarborough added: ‘We have a tombola where you win every time, and everyone who spends £2 gets a free gift.’

Entry to the sale is 50p.

It is from 10am to 3pm. The address is 9, The Crest, PO7 5DJ.

It is the second right after The George Pub when travelling north.
