Chance todiscover the magic ofMilton Locks

families can discover the magic of Milton Locks nature reserve this half-term with the help of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

The small coastal nature reserve is home to birds such as starlings and kestrels, salt marsh plants, butterflies and reptiles such as common lizards. As well as its significance for wildlife, the site also has a rich historical heritage, having once been part of the Portsmouth to Arundel canal, which opened in 1823.

The Milton’s Hidden Seashore Heritage Lottery Funded project is running a series of outdoor family sessions playing in, discovering and exploring Milton Locks. Activities will include den building, scavenger hunts, natural art and plenty of exploring.
